Israel Emergency Relief Fund
To address critical needs in Israel as a result of Operation Swords of Iron, the Jewish Federation of Reading/Berks launched an emergency relief campaign.
This may be the most important opportunity in our lifetimes to support the people in Israel. The needs are great and will only continue to grow. JFNA has distributed funding to over 100 charities in the following categories:
- Emergency Medical Services and Health Care
- Emergency Operational Evacuation
- Housing Respite and Support for Frontline Communities
- Fund for Victims of Terror
- Local Efforts and Volunteers
- Special Populations and Trauma Relief/Mental Health
What you can do:
1. Share your Voice: Post on social media, stay up-to-date on talking points, keep your friends informed.
2. Donate a meaningful gift to our Emergency Relief Fund.
3. Tell your federal, state and local elected officials and representatives to continue to support Israel: contact your elected officials here
4. Wear Your #BlueRibbonsforIsrael in solidarity with the hostages taken by Hamas in Israel and their families. Ribbons can be found at our Federation office.
